I never believed the melee glitch was a problem until Arirana went 26/9 with it last night.
I've been unhappy with FOTM like flaylocks and fused nades but those you could deal with at least. What Arirana was doing last night was pretty much cheating hands down, and it makes me want to quit playing until 1.5 when they say they will be able to fix it.
Leave it to Kujo to use whatever exploit he can to win a match though
To the OP:
I am really surprised considering it was such a big thing when 1.3 dropped. Everyone was up in arms about the cal logi nerf (but don't worry we will be changing all of the logi bonuses in 1.4!)

I mean I have a catalyzer on my mini assault suit so I am pretty fast but these people blow my suit away and leave me in the dust. And yea its not hard to do....it just requires a KBM...... I don't know how many months later, and we're straight back to this tired old argument. The best part is everyone blaming KBM support on EVE players, when it was the people clamoring for KBM support months ago claiming that the "casual baddie" EVE players wanted to keep the controllers so the REAL gamers couldn't use PROPER controls. Lest we forget. I think it's safe to say that every good thing that ever happens in this game comes from the top 1% of SUPER LEET players, and everything bad is because of people who play EVE.
It doesn't require KBM, its just easier to do on the KBM. You can do it with a DS3 as well. |

Still though, i'm really surprised people are still on this train.
Logistics have never been better than assault suits at killing. Higher move and strafe speeds as well as having a side arm while generally make 1v1 vs a good proto assault and proto logi favor the assault substantially. just because some people don't capitalize on the strengths of the the assault suit like they should does not mean that assault suits are less powerful.
The only suit to come close to being as effective was the cal logi prior to 1.3 but they've been nerfed so far into the ground they are not a threat to assault suits any longer.
Giving the assault suits 10-15% damage would be insane. If they do that, they better give logis a hell of a lot more hp or they will be worthless.
Just because a logi with gun game killed your assault suit doesn't make them better at assaulting. |

Just because a logi with gun game killed your assault suit doesn't make them better at assaulting. Higher move speeds? The only suit with a higher move speed than min logi is min assault, and that's by 0.2. min logi can have more equipment and more HP and more high/low slots than a caldari assault while moving at the exact same speed. caldari assault regens shields at a slightly faster rate. Yes, clearly assaults are MUCH better at killing than logis. please don't insult my gun game by saying i die to logistics players
Come on man, you play PC. How many 1v1s do you have against good players end in less than a single clip? I am constantly dying while reload against assault players.
The only thing that logis have that makes them better in combat is the passive reps, which ill admit doesn't belong on a logi. Self healing for logis should be done differently, or passive reps should be on assault suits as well, I personally prefer the latter.
With higher base stats and a sidearm, the assault has a clear advantage, even with less modules. Equipment is so-so imo, as most of it isn't combat focused. Triage nanohives being the only exception i can think of.
I don't disagree that medium suits need a little work, but trust me, I wish I had an assault suit right now, you cannot logissault effectively against good players. |

plus assaults have such low CPU/PG you have no choice but to use AT LEAST a CPU upgrade, and if you want a good sidearm, you're gonna need a PG upgrade too. There's 2/3 of my low slots used up due to poor game design, while logis can slap on a couple of plates or shield regs to outclass my assault suit.
this update should have fixed stupid **** like that but this is CCP, i never should have gotten my hopes up to begin with.
Now that is a change i think would help assaults a lot, adding a little base CPU/PG to assaults. Personally I think assault and basic frames should get a second equip slot and logis should get a sidearm. That way we dispel any notion of logis not being on par combat wise. Then the assault bonus should be a reduction in weaponry CPU and PG while logis have a reduction in equipment CPU and PG with a slight nerf on base stats.
I dunno man i get wrecked but i run true logi. I have to run complex CPU upgrade too and basic low mods with an adv weapon. I'm rarely positive in PC anymore. But hey I do get good WPs and the heavies love my reps lol.
I have a hard time sprint canceling my reload while strafing... And if they swap to a sidearm I'm done. Don't underestimate the smg or flaylock as a finisher! |

If you forsake your logi skills and only use bare minimum equipment just to help YOU, removing the need for PG/CPU boosts, wouldn't you feel like you'd be a little more powerful than any assault class? more EHP, stack some damage mods, stand in triage hives...would be hard to take down
It comes down to gun game at that point i think. With higher base stats, we end up with similar EHP now, but assaults are faster, except for min logi.
I have logissaulted a lot in pubs and in PC, and I don't find its a big difference personally. It usually comes down to better positioning and who gets blessed with hit detection lol.
Ill admit though, the stats on assault dont make up for the loss of equip slots. I seriously think assault frames should get a second equip and logi frames should get a sidearm. It normalizes the field a little while keep a unique flavor to each suit. |

It normalizes the field a little while keep a unique flavor to each suit. logis do not need sidearms, they are already way too combat effective. min logi can eclipse the EHP of any assault very easily, especially when those assaults are forced to waste at least one of their low slots on a CPU upgrade, two if you plan on having a proto sidearm and proto equipment. my main point here is that this was supposed to be an infantry rebalance......yet the majority of infantry remains completely untouched. blatant lies from CCP
Yep I was excited for new logi bonuses, as the regulator bonus is kind of underwhelming on cal logi... but alas... nothing :/
I guess it'll be 1.5 for vehicles and 1.6 for infantry now. |
